Feb. 25, 2016: Embraer rolled out its E190-E2 to a series of fly-bys of EMB aircraft ranging from a crop duster to the KC-390, hundreds of invited guests and media and thousands of its employees.

  1. A great looking airplane. The new champ in the BIG ENGINE look. Seriously, a handsome aircraft.

  2. 73″ fan on a 59t aircraft, the cutting edge of big fan efficiency. Compare that to the 69″ fan on the 88t 737-9, the E190 has 65% more fan area per weight.

    • Considering that the 9 carries almost twice the passengers the fan area per passenger favors the 9. Regardless it’s apples to oranges …

      • Yes, carrying more passengers per ton is a big advantage for the 737-9. Interesting the fan E190, if it is optimal size, because obviously there is more weight and skin drag and need to position it more forward of the wing.
