Farnborough/Tuesday

Updated, Wednesday 05:00 BST

We’ve updated this posting after all the text with orders completed through Day 2,

Original Post:

Tuesday will be another day where orders are expected to be announced. See our Monday posting, updated at 4pm for this information.

Pratt & Whitney

We will be attending a breakfast hosted by Pratt & Whitney; perhaps we can get some information about the issues Qatar reports in connection with its potential CSeries order. Or perhaps not. OEMs are loath to talk about customers. But we shall see.

Boeing

Boeing has press briefings on its UAV business and the 787. Since Boeing revealed the potential delay on the 787 last week, we expect some questions following up this, but otherwise we expect the briefing will be all hugs and kisses, and generally why not? The 787 departs Farnborough at 5pm for Seattle and may go over the North Pole to do some more navigation testing.

Boeing has a briefing on its 737-based P-8A Poseidon.

Sukhoi

Sukhoi has a briefing Tuesday and may reveal at this time its pending order for 65 Superjets, something Flightblogger wrote about a week ago.

EADS

Boeing had its tanker briefing Monday; EADS has its briefing today. We’ve got a jam-packed day but will try to combine both stories into one posting, though it may not happen until Wednesday.

There’s a lot more going on, but this is what we are focused on.
